Sewage Systems

The TNRD operates two wastewater systems, located in Paul Lake and in Pritchard (North).

Paul Lake

The Paul Lake wastewater system was constructed in 1996 and is located 30 km north east of Kamloops. There are approximately 105 customers connected to the system. The sanitary sewer collection system includes a septic tank effluent system, one pumping station, a Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC), and septic field disposal.

The TNRD commissioned a master plan assessment of the sewer infrastructure in Paul Lake to plan for the future of the community and sets out priorities for improvements to the system to ensure safe, clean, reliable and affordable  wastewater services.

Pritchard

The Pritchard wastewater system was constructed in 1998 and is located 50 km east of Kamloops. There are approximately 175 customers connected to the system. The sanitary sewer collection system includes gravity collection, a pumping station, a trickling filter tower, UV disinfection, and a Rapid Infiltration Bed (RIB).

The TNRD commissioned a master plan assessment of the sewer infrastructure in Pritchard to plan for the future of the community and sets out priorities for improvements to the system to ensure safe, clean, reliable and affordable  wastewater services.
