Residents in a number of TNRD communities receive local transit service through BC Transit. Costs of transit in communities that receive the service are shared by BC Transit and specific municipalities and TNRD communities that are served.
North Thompson
Through the Clearwater and Area Transit Service, transit is available daily from Monday to Friday between Vavenby and Clearwater (Route 1), and Blackpool and Clearwater (Route 2). For more information, view the Clearwater and Area Transit Rider’s Guide.
Through Yellowhead Community Services, long-haul transit service is available for North Thompson communities. The Valley Connector bus service (Route 10) runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the North Thompson to Kamloops, and makes stops in Vavenby, Clearwater, Little Fort and Barriere. On the first Thursday of each month, the Valley Connector bus also makes stops in Blue River and/ or Avola, when requested ahead of time. Lower Nicola
Through the Merritt Regional Transit System, transit is available for Lower Nicola from Monday to Saturday between Lower Nicola and downtown Merritt (Route 4). For more information, view the BC Transit Route 4 Schedule.
