Community Services

Community Services is responsible for community and regional parks, community halls, fire protection, 9-1-1, recreation, train-whistle cessation, cemeteries, and transit. The TNRD provides services to the 10 electoral areas, and additional services are provided in cooperation with its member municipalities and First Nations groups.

  • Street Lighting
    The TNRD is responsible for street lighting in the communities of Avola, Vavenby, Blackpool, Whitecroft, Coldwater Rd, and Pritchard. For street lights attached to BC Hydro poles, typically wooden poles, submit a repair request by completing this form on BC Hydro’s website: Request for a street light repair. You can also submit a repair request by contacting 1 800 BCHYDRO (1 800 224 9376).
