Does my permit expire?
Yes. Your building permit is issued with the following conditions:
- the permit shall expire
- the rights of the owner under the permit shall terminate if the work is not:
- started within six months, or
- completed within three years of the permit being issued.
Can I renew my permit?
If construction is progressing at a reasonable rate but you still need more time, the Building Official may renew your permit for twelve months.
