The Thompson-Nicola Regional District is obligated to protect your personal information by making reasonable security arrangements against risks such as unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, or disposal. Security measures have been integrated into the design, implementation, and day-to-day operating practices as part of the TNRD’s commitment to the protection of personal information it holds.

TNRD.ca Website Privacy Policy

The TNRD website automatically collects and stores the following information from visitors:

  • the internet protocol (IP) address and domain name;
  • the type of browser and operating system;
  • the date and time of the visit;
  • the webpage accessed; and
  • amount of time spent on each page.

Information automatically collected is used only for the purpose of administering the website, assessing system performance, and improving service, in accordance with section 26(c) of BC’s Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection Act and section 3.6 of TNRD Policy 1.2.2 on Privacy and Confidentiality.
