Spring Cleaning is in Full Swing at Eco-Depots

The TNRD Board of Directors voted to eliminate Free Disposal Days across the region, the City of Kamloops made a similar decision also. However, there is no shortage of free disposal options every day of the year. Check out our Depot Services page to find out what your local site can accept.

Items accepted Free of Charge:

  • Mattresses/Boxsprings
  • Tires
  • Scrap Metal
  • Household Recycling (paper, containers, glass, plastic bags)
  • Brush and Branches
  • Appliances (including fridges/freezers)
  • Electronics
  • Batteries
  • Used Oil and Antifreeze
  • Flammables/Pesticides (residential products in original packaging)

Items Accepted for Reduced Fees at Eco-Depots:

  • Wood
  • Concrete/Asphalt
  • Asphalt Shingles

A series of Household Hazardous Waste Round-ups is anticipated for Fall of 2021 which will accept a large variety of hazardous wastes for safe disposal or diversion.
