We have received the following update from the Province of B.C.’s Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resources Operations and Rural Development (MFLNRORD):
“Spius Creek bridge opened this morning at 7:15 a.m. and will be closed again tonight at 9:00 p.m. Please be aware that water levels are expected to increase within the next eight hours, and an earlier closing time may be required.
“Security will be on site at Spius Creek bridge until Friday night (with a possibly of extension), watching for debris and rising river levels and to ensure traffic crosses the bridge safely.
“The Spius Creek Bridge will be closed Friday morning for most of the day for bridge works.”
