Evacuation Order – Electoral Area “N” (Beautiful Nicola Valley – South)

A flooding event located in Area “N” (Beautiful Nicola Valley – South) is threatening structures and the safety of residents in the area.

There is potential that the Spius Creek Bridge will be imminently compromised by rising flood waters which will cut off egress for people in the area. Because of the potential danger to life and safety, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District has ordered everyone to evacuate the following 56 addressed properties:

• 2164 to 2480 Cleasby Rd;
• 3141 and 3181 Cummings Rd;
• 3265 Cummings Rd;
• 3511 to 3593 Cummings Rd;
• 3660 and 3700 Cummings Rd;
• 3725 to3816 Davidson Rd;
• 3425 to 3455 D’Easum Rd;
• 2728 to 3285 Petit Creek Rd;
• 3581 to 3793 Petit Creek Rd;
• 3901 Petit Creek Rd;
• 3020 Prospect Creek FSR;
• 3141 and 3144 Prospect Creek FSR;
• 4024 Prospect Creek FSR; and
• any properties as identified on the attached map.

If you are in the described area, please leave immediately.

There is limited availability for commercial lodging in Kamloops. If your primary residence has been evacuated, we recommend you arrange to stay with friends or family. If you cannot stay with friends or family, please report to one of the following Reception Centres to access Emergency Support Services:

Salmon Arm
Prestige Harbourfront Resort, 251 Harbourfront Drive
Hours of Operation: 8am to 6pm

Kelowna
Willow Park Church, 438 Highway 33
Hours of Operation: 10am to 10pm

Penticton
Penticton Seniors’ Drop-in Centre Society, 2965 South Main Street
Hours of Operation: 9am to 5pm
(Please call ahead: 1-833-498-3770)

ESS will only be provided if your primary residence is one of the properties under evacuation order.

If you choose, you can assist the registration process by self-registering ahead of time using the Evacuee Registration & Assistance (ERA) Tool at: https://ess.gov.bc.ca/ or by calling the Emergency Support Services Info Line at 1-800-585-9559. You must still report to a Reception Centre to receive services.

You should register with Emergency Support Services (ESS) whether you need the support or not. This will help ensure that your loved ones and communities know where you are and know that you are safe.
