Regular Recycling Collection Resumes at Solid Waste Facilities

Kamloops, BC – July 4, 2023 – The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) is informing residents that recyclable paper and packaging depot collection has resumed at all solid waste facilities impacted by a temporary service interruption that began on July 3, 2023.

Several solid waste facilities were impacted by a hauling supply shortage and have now returned to normal operations, including:

  • Boston Flats Eco-Depot
  • Clearwater Eco-Depot
  • Louis Creek Eco-Depot
  • Lower Nicola Eco-Depot
  • Paul Lake Transfer Station
  • Sun Peaks Transfer Station

The TNRD thanks customers of these solid waste facilities for their patience.

The TNRD owns and operates 10 Eco-Depots and 17 Transfer Stations, and many materials can be recycled free of charge at these facilities and diverted from being landfilled. To find hours of operation and accepted materials for each TNRD solid waste facility, visit: tnrd.ca/depothours.
