Kamloops, BC – October 31, 2022 – The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) is advising that as of today, the Lower Nicola Eco-Depot has reopened to modified operations, following a fire on site on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
Customers may pay using Eco-Card, Credit Card or charge accounts. Debit cannot be accepted until Point of Sale service can be re-established.
The TNRD is hopeful to have interim measures in place soon to resume using the weigh scales on site, which have been damaged. In the meantime, tipping fees will be levied based on volume. Fees are based on load size or cubic meter rate, if applicable.
Please be prepared for a temporary change in traffic pattern on site, and please obey all signs and directions from Eco-Depot staff.
The Eco-Depot will continue to be open for regular hours, which are 8 am to 4 pm daily (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day). All materials continue to be accepted.
The TNRD asks for patience from customers of the Lower Nicola Eco-Depot as repairs are made on site in the coming months. We appreciate your understanding during this period.
