Kamloops, BC – October 29, 2022 – Due to a fire early this morning, the Lower-Nicola Eco Depot and landfill will be closed for at least today and tomorrow, October 29 and 30, 2022. The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) is expecting that modified disposal and recycling services will resume on Monday, October 31, 2022.
The Logan Lake Eco-Depot is the nearest alternative recycling and disposal facility, located at 9261 Highway 97C, approximately 45 kilometres from the junction of Highway 8 and Highway 97C. The Logan Lake Eco-Depot is open 8 am to 4 pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
