Monitoring and Mitigation

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District is closely monitoring the information provided by Federal and Provincial agencies regarding the COVID-19 outbreak and is collaborating with other municipal governments to provide updates.

The TNRD will continue to take a proactive approach and has a business continuity plan which is being reviewed and enacted as the situation evolves. The Emergency Operations Centre will support the activation of the plan and respond if needed.

Prevention
For the health and safety of residents and TNRD staff, we strongly encourage the public and our clients to limit their in-person contact with TNRD staff to essential services only. Please visit our website, www.tnrd.ca, phone us at 250-377-8673 (toll-free 1-877-377-8673) or email admin@tnrd.ca.

At this time, the TNRD has closed all Library locations to the public. In addition, the Avola School House, Little Fort and Vavenby Community Halls have been shut down.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will make any appropriate adjustments as recommended and will ensure that the appropriate notifications are given to the public.

If you have flu-like symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider or call HealthLinkBC at 811 toll-free in BC (711 for the deaf and the hard of hearing toll-free in BC) and speak with a health service navigator. You can also use the newly launched BC COVID-19 Symptom Self-Assessment Tool online: https://covid19.thrive.health/
