Notice of Public Hearing: Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2821 (Blue River)

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District gives notice that it will hold a Public Hearing at the TNRD Civic Building Boardroom on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 1:30 pm to consider proposed Bylaw No. 2821.

What is Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2821?

Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2821 proposes to rezone two properties in Blue River, B.C. shown as “A” and “B” on the adjacent map, as follows:

A) 5914 Angus Horne Street from C-1: Retail Commercial to R-1: Residential Single and Duplex zone to legalize an existing residential use; and

B) 857 Spruce Street by adding a site-specific amendment to the R-1: Residential Single and Duplex to allow horticultural use with up to 200 square metres (2,153 sq ft) of accessory buildings and a small produce stand, but exclude livestock and processing of raw materials.

Make a Submission

All persons who believe that their interest in property may be affected by the proposed Bylaws shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing. Additionally, they may make written submissions on the matter of Zoning Bylaw Amendments 2716 and 2804 which must be received at the TNRD Civic Building main office prior to 12:00 pm on September 5, 2023. The entire content of all submissions will be made public and form a part of the public record for this matter.

A copy of proposed Bylaw Amendment 2821 and all supporting information can be inspected between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) at the TNRD Civic Building main office from August 18, 2023 until 1:30 pm on the day of the Public Hearing.
