Learn About Residential Water Meter Installations in Vavenby

Kamloops, BC—September 2, 2020—The TNRD is improving its water system infrastructure by installing water meters for all community water system users. Residents of Vavenby are invited to join the TNRD on Tuesday, September 8th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm to learn about their residential water meter installations, ask questions, and find out about the next steps.

The meeting will be held at the Vavenby Community Hall and streamed live on the TNRD’s Facebook page due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Follow the TNRD on Facebook to receive a live event notification when the meeting begins, or click here to watch.

Residents are encouraged to join the conversation online with the option to phone in or email questions before, during, or after the meeting. Please direct your questions to Renata Harry, TNRD Project Manager, Water Metering Implementation by phone at 250-377-6301 or email rharry@tnrd.ca

Limited seating at the Vavenby Community Hall will be available for residents who are unable to watch the meeting online. One resident per household may attend the meeting in person up to a maximum capacity of 25 people. The live stream will be recorded and available to view on the TNRD’s Facebook page after September 8th.

The TNRD and its designated contractor, ICONIX Waterworks, began installation of water meters for all water customers within the TNRD’s community water systems in October 2019. These new water meters will provide communities with improved water conservation and leak detection information, reduce the cost of operation, ensure fair billing, and improve access to grant funding.
