Annual Invasive Plant Field Day in Logan Lake

July 19, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Thompson- Nicola Invasive Plant Management Committee (TNIPMC) is hosting its annual free invasive plant workshop in Logan Lake. Invasive plant specialists will be on site to share information on invasive plants in and around the Logan Lake area.

When: Tuesday, July 19, 2022, 9 am to 12 pm

Where: Logan Lake Dog Park, 6201 Mamit Lake Rd, Logan Lake, BC

This event is being hosted in partnership with the District of Logan Lake, which has recently joined the TNRD’s Invasive Plant Program.

“This free event will be a great way to help celebrate Logan Lake’s 50th anniversary, by providing residents with the necessary knowledge to keep the area natural, resilient and free of invasive plants,” Invasive Plant Management Coordinator Coleen Hougen said.

Private landowners, land managers and members of the public are welcome to attend and learn about select invasive plants and how to manage them. Participants are welcome to bring their mystery plants for identification.

All participants must register by July 17, 2022. Registration can be done online by visiting www.tnrd.ca/tnipmc-annual-field-day-2022, or by contacting the TNRD at 1-877-377-8673 or invasiveplants@tnrd.ca.
