Invasive Plant Workshop in Barriere

Members of the public can join the TNRD and Purity Feed Farm & Garden for a free invasive plant workshop in Barriere.

When: Thursday, July 21, 2022, 9 am to 11 am

Where: North Thompson Fall Fair Grounds, 677 Barriere Lakes Rd, Barriere, BC

During the workshop, we will be covering the following topics:

• Prevention and management techniques including cultural, mechanical and chemical controls;
• TNRD cost-share and loan out programs and how to apply;
• Free property assessment signup; and
• Bring your questions and bagged unidentified flowering objects (i.e., your “mystery weeds).

Staff will also be providing information on local invasive plants in the area including the common tansy, hawkweeds and hoary alyssum.
