Kamloops, BC – March 18, 2024 – The Thompson-Nicola Regional District is encouraging locals to participate in a survey to share your input on hours of operation at the Sun Peaks Transfer Station.
The purpose of this survey is to ensure that the site hours best meet the needs of the community and support TNRD objectives of reducing gate dumping and alleviating wildlife and litter concerns.
Currently, the Transfer Station is open daily for eight hours per day between December 1 and March 31, and is open five days per week for eight hours per day between April 1 and November 30. Hours of operation are currently 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on all days that the site is open. Unlike all other Eco-Depots and Transfer Stations within the TNRD, the Sun Peaks Transfer Station is open with regular hours on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
The survey is open until April 2, 2024, and can completed in one of two ways:
