The Board of Directors of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District gives notice that it will hold Public Hearings in the TNRD Boardroom – 4th Floor, 465 Victoria St., Kamloops, B.C., on September 22, 2022 at 1:30 pm – to consider proposed Bylaws No. 2778, 2780, 2781 and 2785.

What is Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2778?

Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2778 would amend Zoning Bylaw 2400 by rezoning a portion of 5580 Adams West Forest Service Road, Adams Lake, B.C. (as shaded on the adjacent map), from RL-1 Rural to C-4: Recreational Commercial, including a site-specific provision to enable resort development, including new rentable units, continued use of the RV park, and two caretaker units.

What is Temporary Use Permit Bylaw No. 2780?

Temporary Use Permit Bylaw No. 2780, enables short-term vacation rentals within an existing single-family dwelling at 7360 Cahilty Crescent, in Whitecroft, B.C., (as shaded on the adjacent map) for a period of up to three years. The specific temporary use conditions are stipulated in the proposed permit, a part of Bylaw No. 2780.

What is Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2781?

Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2781 would amend Zoning Bylaw 2400 by rezoning a Crown Lease parcel at Hatheume Lake, B.C., legally described as District Lot 1627, KDYD from RL-1: Rural Zone to LA-1: Limited Access Cabin Zone to facilitate code compliance of an existing dry cabin and accessory buildings.

What is Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2785?

Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2785 would amend Zoning Bylaw 2400 by adding a site-specific use to 272 Holloway Drive, Tobiano, B.C., (as shown on the adjacent map), zoned RA-2: Resort Accommodation Two Zone, to allow a secondary suite within a new dwelling on the property.

All persons who believe that their interest in property may be affected by the proposed Bylaws shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to provide input at the Public Hearing. As well, you may make written submissions on the matter of Bylaws 2778, 2780, 2781 and 2785 (via the options below), which must be received at our office prior to noon on September 20, 2022. The entire content of all submissions will be made public and form a part of the public record for this matter.

Copies of the proposed Bylaws and all supporting information can be inspected from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (except statutory holidays) at our office, from September 6, 2022, until 1:30 pm on the day of the Public Hearings.
