Notice of Public Hearings: May 19, 2022

The Board of Directors of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District gives notice that it will hold two Hearings in the TNRD Boardroom – 4th Floor, 300-465 Victoria St., Kamloops, BC, on May 19, 2022 at 1:30 pm – to consider a proposed Liquor Primary Licence for the Sagebrush Golf Club (LL 25) and to consider a proposed Liquor Primary Licence for the Trans Mountain (TMX) Camp in Blue River (LL 26).

What is the purpose of Notice of Liquor Licence Application LL 25?

This notice is to advise the public about a proposed liquor primary licence, more specifically as follows:

  1. Proposed Establishment: Sagebrush Golf Club
  2.  Location: 6355 Stagecoach Trail, Quilchena (PID: 028-635-159)
  3. Purpose: for the Board to obtain input from the public regarding the proposal for a liquor primary licence at the Sagebrush Golf Course to serve members and the public during rounds of golf.
  4. Details of proposal: Proposed licensing is for external playing fields and putting green only (no indoor areas). Proposed hours of liquor service are 9 am until midnight, seven day per week.

What is the purpose of Notice of Liquor Licence Application LL 26?

This notice is to advise the public about a proposed liquor primary licence, more specifically as follows:

  1. Proposed Establishment: Blue River Lodge Lounge
  2. Location: 5825-5845 Murtle Lake Road, Blue River (Part of Primary: District Lot 3285, KDYD)
  3. Purpose: to obtain input from the public regarding the proposal for a liquor primary licence at the Trans Mountain (TMX) temporary work camp for indoor liquor service for the workforce and registered guests (not open to the public).
  4. Details of the proposal: Proposed licensing is for an indoor seating capacity of approx. 141 persons, with proposed hours of liquor service from 5:30 pm until 10:30 pm, 7 days per week.

All persons who believe that their interest in property may be affected by the proposed LL 25 or LL 26 shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity for input. You may make written submissions of the proposed Liquor Primary Licences, which must be received at the TNRD office prior to 4:30 pm on May 16, 2022, or you may present publicly to the Board during the Hearing on the May 19, 2022. The entire content of all submissions will be made public and form a part of the public record for this matter.
