Kamloops, BC – August 30, 2022 – Nomination papers may now be submitted by Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) Electoral Area Candidates for the 2022 General Local Elections.
Completed nomination applications can be submitted to the Chief Election Officer or a designated person until September 9, 2022 at 4:00 pm. (View the official Notice of Nomination here).
It is preferred that completed nomination applications are submitted in person. This will allow TNRD Elections Staff to review forms with the applicant and ensure they are filled out correctly.
Nomination packages can continue to be picked up from the TNRD Civic Building fourth floor, located at 465 Victoria St., Kamloops, B.C., during regular office hours between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm from Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays). Alternately, nomination packages can be downloaded online by visiting the TNRD General Local Elections 2022 webpage, by clicking here.
The General Local Elections take place on Saturday, October 15, 2022. All eligible residents are encouraged to seek candidacy or to vote in their Electoral Area. Learn more about the upcoming election, how to vote, and eligibility for candidates and voters by visiting: www.tnrd.ca/elections-2022.
Potential candidates are also reminded that they can view recording of the Candidate Information Session held by the TNRD on July 28, 2022. This information session was well attended in person and via Zoom. The full recording can be found here.
