Public Hearing: Temporary Use Permit 70 (Big Bar Lake)

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District gives notice that it will hold a Public Hearing in the TNRD Civic Building Boardroom on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1:30 pm to consider proposed Temporary Use Permit 70.
What is Temporary Use Permit 70?
It would enable a temporary campground for two recreational vehicles (RVs) on a non-commercial basis for up to 30 days per year, and to continue to use an accessory building on the parcel. The TUP would be in place for a three-year term. The affected property is located at 2116 Marriot Road at Big Bar Lake, in Electoral Area “E” (Bonaparte Plateau).
Make a Submission
All persons who believe that their interest in property may be affected by the proposed Bylaw shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing. Anyone may also make written submissions on this matter, which must be received at the TNRD Civic Building main office prior to 12:00 pm on March 19, 2024. Anyone who wishes to present at the Hearing virtually (via Zoom) must contact Legislative Services prior to 12:00 pm on March 19, 2024. The entire content of all submissions will be made public and form a part of the public record for this matter.

A copy of the proposed Bylaw and all supporting information can be inspected between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) at the TNRD Civic Building main office from February 26, 2024 until 1:30 pm on the day of the Public Hearing.
