Kamloops, BC—October 13, 2021—Now is your chance to clear out all those old cleaners, chemicals, and unknown products from the garage or under your sink. The Thompson-Nicola Regional District will be holding its free annual Household Hazardous Waste Round-up events at the following locations in October:
Kamloops Mission Flats Landfill
Saturday, October 16 | 10:00 am to 3:00 pmMerritt Civic Centre Parking Lot
Sunday, October 17 | 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Household hazardous waste is any waste from your home that is considered to be dangerous or which you have reason to believe could be hazardous. Commonly accepted examples of hazardous waste includes paint, batteries, oil, antifreeze, flammables, poisons, corrosives, adhesives, grease/tar, gasoline/kerosene, pesticides, fertilizers, devices containing mercury, and pool or lab chemicals.
