Public Hearing: Zoning Amendment Bylaws 2716 and 2804 (Blue River, Blackpool)

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District gives notice that it will hold a Public Hearing at the TNRD Civic Building Boardroom on May 18, 2023 at 1:30 pm to consider proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendment 2716 (Blue River, Electoral Area “B”), and Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2804 (Blackpool, Electoral Area “A”).

What is Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2716?

Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2716 would rezone a Blue River property at 878 Harrwood Drive from R-2: Residential Multi-Use Zone to R-3: Residential Multi-Family Zone with a site specific provision to enable traveller accommodation use (four rentable units plus suite all within a two-storey building). A variance to reduce side setbacks from 8m to 2.4 metres along the north and 5.6 metres along the south property line is also proposed.

What is Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2804?

Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2804 is to rezone the property at 284 Jenkins Road in Blackpool from R-1: Residential Single and Duplex Zone to SH-1: Small Holding Zone, to accommodate a small hobby farm.

Make a Submission

All persons who believe that their interest in property may be affected by the proposed Bylaws shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing. Additionally, they may make written submissions on the matter of Zoning Bylaw Amendments 2716 and 2804 which must be received at the TNRD Civic Building main office prior to 4:30 pm on May 16, 2023. The entire content of all submissions will be made public and form a part of the public record for this matter.

A copy of each proposed Bylaw and all supporting information can be inspected between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) at the TNRD Civic Building main office between May 5, 2023 and the day of the Public Hearing.
