The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) Emergency Operations Centre is reminding residents of lower west Adams Lake in Electoral Area “P” (Rivers and the Peaks) of curbside collection of spoiled fridges and freezers, which will begin on Friday, September 8, 2023.

Spoiled fridges and freezers will be collected on September 8, 11 and 13 at approximately 8:00 am on each of these days. The collection vehicle will pass by all properties within the community, and will make an additional pass to collect any additional fridges and freezers that have been placed on the curb. Residents are asked to place items on the curb in the morning prior to collection, and to not leave items outdoors the night before pickup.

The TNRD has created an information package for residents of impacted properties for disposal of waste caused by the Bush Creek East wildfire, including fridge and freezer disposal. For more information, please view the Returning Home Disposal Information package.

Further, the TNRD has prepared a package that contains important information about returning home after an evacuation order is lifted and the threat of wildfire is over. To view the TNRD returning home package, click here, or visit: tnrd.ca/returninghome.
