A wildfire event located in the vicinity of Westwold/Monte Lake is threatening structures and the safety of residents in Electoral Area “L” (Grasslands).
Because of the potential danger to life and safety, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District has issued an Evacuation Order for the following 11 addressed properties:
• 3566 Hwy 97
• 3665 to 3715 Mill Rd;
• 3706 to 3728 Monte Lake Rd; and
• any properties within the boundary outlined on the attached map.
If you are in the described area, you must leave immediately.
There is a critical shortage of commercial accommodations in Kamloops and throughout the region. If your primary residence has been evacuated, we recommend that you arrange to stay with friends or family. You can access other Emergency Support Services (for meals and other necessities) by reporting to the McArthur Island Sports Centre located at 1655 Island Parkway in Kamloops between 0900 and 1600 hrs.
If you cannot stay with friends or family please report to the Emergency Services Reception Centre located at Prestige Harbourfront Resort located at 251 Harbourfront Drive NW, Salmon Arm, BC.

You must still report to a Reception Centre to receive services.
