Pursuant to Section 12 (1) of the BC Emergency Program Act, an Evacuation Order has been issued by Chair Ken Gillis from the Thompson-Nicola Regional District at the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in Kamloops.

A wildfire event located in the vicinity of Napier Lake is threatening structures and the safety of residents in Electoral Area “J” (Copper Desert Country), Electoral Area “L” (Grasslands) and Electoral Area “M” (Beautiful Nicola Valley-North).

Because of the potential danger to life and safety, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District has issued an evacuation order for 96 properties addressed as:

• 8420 to 8588 Fraser Rd;
• 80 to 200 Golden Quill Trail;
• 7085 to 7745 Hwy 5A;
• 11425 Kamloops-Merritt Hwy 5A;
• 8745 to 8805 Long Lake Rd;
• 8165 to 8895 Old Kamloops Rd;
• 7630 to 7650 Raven Ridge Rd;
• 6465 to 8145 Trapp Lake Rd;
• 16 to 72 Windy Way; and
• other properties as identified on the attached map.

If you are in the described area, you must leave immediately.

Emergency Support Services will only be provided if your primary residence is one of the properties under evacuation order.
