Evacuation Order – Sparks Lake Wildfire – Electoral Area “J” (Copper Desert Country)

Sparks Lake Wildfire
Pursuant to Section 12 (1) of the BC Emergency Program Act, an Evacuation Orderhas been issued by Chair Ken Gillis from the Thompson-Nicola Regional District at the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in Kamloops.
A wildfire event located in the vicinity of Sparks Lake in Electoral Area “J” (Copper Desert Country) is threatening structures and the safety of residents in the area.
Because of the potential danger to life and safety, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District has ordered everyone to evacuate the following properties:
• 8092 Tranquille-Criss Creek Rd
• 8088 Tranquille-Criss Creek Rd
• 4000 Leblond Rd
• 7900 Seven Lakes Rd
• 8185 Seven Lakes Rd
• 7750 Tranquille-Criss Creek Rd
• 7645 Tranquille-Criss Creek Rd
• 7560 Tranquille-Criss Creek Rd
• 7501 Tranquille-Criss Creek Rd
If you are in the described area, you must leave immediately and report to the McArthur Island Sports Centre Parking lot at 1655 Island Pkwy in Kamloops, and remain in, or near to, the vehicle you arrived in.
Self-Register as an evacuee using the Evacuee Registration & Assistance (ERA) Tool: https://ess.gov.bc.ca/. An ESS volunteer will contact you using the phone number you listed in your self-registration.
If you do not have a device that allows you to self-register, please report to the front door of the McArthur Island Sport Centre to provide your name and await further instruction.
