Evacuation Alert Downgraded to All Clear – Loon Lake/Hihium Lake- Sparks Lake Wildfire – EA “E”

The Evacuation Alert in Electoral Area “E” (Bonaparte Plateau), and Electoral Area “J” (Copper Desert Country) for 298 properties in the Loon Lake and Hihium Lake areas, has been rescinded to all clear as the threat of wildfire in the area no longer poses an imminent risk to the safety of residents.
This Alert was put in place at 1300 hrs on June 30, 2021 for the following 298 properties addressed as: • 5472 to 5993 3400 Rd; • 5293 and 5675 342 Rd; • 5848 Clinton-Loon Lake Forest Service Rd; • 1810 to 3520 Loon Lake Rd; • 2970 to 3103 Stevens Rd; and • any other properties within the boundary noted on the attached map.
Should conditions change, an Evacuation Alert and / or Evacuation Order could be reinstated as necessary. Please contact the Emergency Operations Centre for further information or assistance.
