COVID-19: What the TNRD is Doing

Here’s how we are adjusting our services during the COVID-19 Pandemic:

  • The TNRD administration building and all libraries have now reopened
  • Visitors and staff are expected to abide by physical distancing protocols
  • Increased daily cleaning and sanitization of common contact surfaces
  • Physical distancing is required, and the use of masks while in our buildings is encouraged
  • Floor markers have been placed to ensure customers and staff maintain a safe distance
  • Plexiglas barriers have been installed to reduce potential transmission at service counters

Board Meetings

The TNRD’s Board of Director meetings are being held in-person at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops to allow for social distancing guidelines and safe meeting protocols to be in place for the safety of our Board members, staff, and public attendees.

In the Workplace

To keep our staff healthy, we are taking the following measures:

  • Increased cleaning and sanitization practices
  • Hand sanitizer, signs and posters have been placed around the work environment and public spaces
  • Staff and visitors must follow personal hygiene measures including sanitizing and washing hands
  • Physical distancing measures have been implemented in the workplace
  • Staff are encouraged to use masks in common areas
  • Staff and visitors may not enter TNRD buildings if they are sick or required to self-isolate

What You Can Do

  • Wash your hands frequently or use hand sanitizer
  • Don’t touchyour face
  • Cough and/or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue
  • Practice physical distancing
  • Stay away from crowded areas
  • Stay home if you feel sick or show any symptoms of the virus
