The recent flooding through the Nicola Valley and Coldwater areas have left considerable amounts of debris to be managed. To assist with the clean-up efforts, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District will beaccepting flood debris at the Brookmere Transfer Station.
Brookmere Transfer Station:
- Sunday, December 26 CLOSED
- Sunday, January 2 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Sunday, January 9 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Fees for flood debris from flood-affected properties are being covered by EMBC and will require a declaration form to be completed at the transfer station. The TNRD plans to assess the needs of the community in the new year when seasonal residents return and other clean-up efforts are needed.
