TNRD’S COMMUNITY VISION:

I am pleased to present the 2010 Corporate Annual Report which demonstrates the many services provided to the Thompson-Nicola Regional District’s 122,000 residents and taxpayers during 2009. Last year’s success supports using this format to provide an easy-to-read and informative summary of the TNRD’s accomplishments and to help address our communication challenges.
The year began with a focus on the newly-elected Directors (8 of 24), continued with the ongoing transition of the 2 newly incorporated municipalities (Barriere and Clearwater), and ended with the emergence of a future new member of our federation – Sun Peaks, whose residents and property owners voted to incorporate by June, 2010.
Along the way, 2009 provided a number of challenges, with some of the key highlights including:

I am pleased to present the 2010 Corporate Annual Report which demonstrates the many services provided to the Thompson-Nicola Regional District’s 122,000 residents and taxpayers during 2009. Last year’s success supports using this format to provide an easy-to-read and informative summary of the TNRD’s accomplishments and to help address our communication challenges.

- EOC Activation – 13 Interface Wildfires – 12 Evacuations/18 Alerts;
- Continuing implementation of the new RSWMP;
- New North Kamloops Library construction underway;
