What NEW regulations has the TNRD adopted for small, non-ALR, acreages?

  • Limits on livestock numbers for non-ALR parcels 1 hectare (~2.5 acres) or less.
  • Limits on size and height of accessory buildings for parcels less than 2 hectares (~5 acres) in the CR-1 and SH-1 zones (except ALR farm buildings).
  • Limits of building area or “coverage” based on percentage of lot area for parcels less than 2 hectares (~5 acres) in the CR-1 and SH-1 zones.

Also, updates in response to recent ALR changes to ensure that TNRD Zoning Bylaw 2400 and ALC regulation match.
